If the opportunity presented itself…what animal would you be?

For some reason I have a special affection for pachyderms; particularly the elephant. Did you know:

a. The elephant is distinguished by its high level of intelligence, interesting behavior, methods of communication and complex social structure…

b. Elephants are very social, frequently caressing and touching one another and entwining their trunks…

c. Elephants demonstrate concern for members of  their families.  They take care of weak or injured members and appear to grieve over a dead companion.

Elephants communicate through calls and rumbles that can be heard up to 5 miles away.  In fact, they are known to have a distinct voice that other elephants can distinguish from one another. Groups of elephants that live in the same home range often communicate from a distance and socialize  when they come across each other.

Is it any wonder that I have a special affection for these gentle giants?  The elephant always stands out in the crowd…when you’re looking for that distinct form of communication that gives you the stand out factor, I’m here to help!

P.S. Pachyderm also refers to “thick skin,” which comes in handy as a public speaker.
