A patient goes to see the doctor and says “I sound lousy.”

Doctor asks “What are your symptoms?”

Patient says: “I’d rather jump off a bridge than speak in public; my favorite words are uh, um, ya’ know and like; people look dazed & confused when I speak; my 30-second commercial takes 30 minutes.

Finally the doctor wakes up, apologizes for snoring and says:

“The diagnosis is communicationitis; the prescription is working with Dale Klein.”

Simon says: Please stand.

Simon says: Cross your arms in front of your chest.

Simon says: Recross your arms placing the opposite arm on top.

What you’ve just experienced is stepping outside your comfort zone by changing a longstanding habit.

Much of our communication reflects longstanding habits. Problem is those longstanding habits lead to complacency, which leads to mediocrity.

Mediocre communication doesn’t increase your business.

As your speech coach, I help you step outside your comfort zone by modifying your longstanding communication habits.

The result promises to be a sound investment.
