As a public speaker, what is your super power? Lots of skills are a possibility but what really counts is having the super power of public speaking.  It’s imperative that your listeners view you as a “hero” in public speaking, kind of like this image.

Ask yourself if you are…

  1. Welcoming
  2. Inviting
  3. Curious
  4. Attentive
  5. Grounded
  6. Observant
  7. Calm
  8. Patient
  9. Engaging
  10. Accepting

Those qualities are a good place to start but this list is not exhaustive. Feel free to add to this list based on what you hear, see, and experience.  This list may also change over time.

As you evaluate each of the attributes listed, I recommend you give examples so that you’re able to better retain this information.  Giving examples helps you either replicate a skill or change it, if necessary. If you’re unsure of how to become more “engaging” as an example, you’re welcome to contact me for further assistance. Based on my experience as a professional speaker plus having coached business people in various industries for the last two decades, I’ll provide you with techniques that you or your staff can readily use, right away. Additionally, the strategies we discuss may stimulate new ideas! Either way you’ll increase your super power skills.
